This study sought to assess the quality and dependability of brief cosmetic surgery videos available on Douyin.
August 2022 saw the retrieval and meticulous screening of 300 short videos, linked to cosmetic procedures, sourced from Douyin. Data extraction for basic video information was followed by content encoding and the identification of the origin of each video. The DISCERN instrument was used to assess the quality and dependability of short video content.
The survey incorporated 168 short videos on cosmetic surgery, with the video sources ranging from personal accounts to institutional ones. In conclusion, the proportion of institutional accounts (47/168, 2798%) is markedly lower than that of personal accounts (121/168, 7202%). Non-health professionals received substantially more praise, comments, collections, and reposts, contrasting sharply with the significantly fewer accolades awarded to for-profit academic organizations or institutions. This research investigated the effect of zoledronate (ZOL) treatment in ovariectomized (OVX) rats with respect to the prevention of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ), focusing on the potential role of resveratrol (RES). A total of fifty rats were allocated into five distinct groups: SHAM (n = 10), which received no surgical procedure and a placebo; OVX (n = 10), ovariectomized and given a placebo; OVX+RES (n = 10), ovariectomized and treated with resveratrol; OVX+ZOL (n = 10), ovariectomized, receiving a placebo and zoledronate; and OVX+RES+ZOL (n = 10), ovariectomized, receiving resveratrol and zoledronate. Utilizing micro-CT, histomorphometry, and immunohistochemistry, the left mandibular sides were investigated. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) analysis was conducted on the right side to determine bone marker gene expression levels.
